In the 7th inning, Mickey hits the first of two enormous home runs. Batting right-handed, he hits a change-up, a line drive to the far away upper center field bleachers. The ball lands about 450' from home plate. In the 8th inning, still batting right handed, he hits another ball on a line that hits the seats just to the right of dead center in these sample upper deck bleachers, a point 485' from home plate. According to Paul Foytack, Tiger pitcher and witness to these two home runs, each would have traveled another 40'-50' if unimpeded.
